The vision that became Fixed by Hicks

The business began with Iesha’s initiative. Recognizing David’s longstanding interest in lawn care, she researched the opportunity, developed the business foundation and helped turn his skills into a path toward ownership.

From establishing the LLC to developing the early website, branding and operations, Iesha brought Fixed by Hicks to life. Today, her leadership continues through customer communication, scheduling, taxes and project planning. Her abilities extend into the field, where her eye for detail and landscaping skills help define the company’s standard.

David credits Iesha with seeing the opportunity before he saw it himself. Together, they have spent the years since building on that vision.

Experience earned through the work

David’s appreciation for landscaping began in childhood—pulling weeds from his father’s rock yard in Arizona, mowing lawns and discovering the satisfaction of earning his own money through a job well done. Growing up in a military family and later serving in the U.S. Army helped shape the drive he brings to the business today.

With early equipment and support from their families, David and Iesha took on demanding projects and invested the time to develop their craft. Those experiences taught them how to assess a property, understand the full scope of a job, use their equipment effectively and provide thoughtful, fair estimates.

Their progress reflects a belief that still guides the company: talent becomes a skill you can depend on through time, effort and a willingness to keep learning.

The standard behind the FBH stamp

Clients frequently describe Fixed by Hicks as a company that goes above and beyond. That reputation is supported by the care David and Iesha put into the work: arriving prepared, using the appropriate professional equipment, working efficiently and reviewing the property two or three times before leaving.

Before-and-after photographs document the transformation. Direct communication keeps customers connected to the owners. When a concern arises, they review it, address anything missed and work toward a fair resolution when expectations need clarification.

The FBH stamp represents that personal accountability—the confidence of standing behind the work and the pride of seeing a property well cared for.

Their core services include lawn mowing, weed eating, edging, and hedge and bush trimming, alongside mulch and rock bed installation, brush clearing, light land clearing and trash or yard debris hauling. David and Iesha accept projects they can complete themselves, keeping each commitment within their equipment capabilities and available capacity.

A partnership with purpose

Married since 2019, David and Iesha have built a business that supports their family and reflects the values they want their children, Devon and De’Nyla, to see: dedication, ownership, care for others and the courage to pursue meaningful work.

Their ambition is to make Fixed by Hicks a household name and expand the team when the time is right. As they continue to grow, their focus remains on the work in front of them and the trust of the people who hire them.

From routine maintenance to a yard ready for a fresh start, Fixed by Hicks brings a personal commitment to every property.
